They look too bright for my liking. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Plug-Extension-So...ef=sr_1_1? ie=UTF8&qid=1538559860&sr=8-1&keywords=501+bulb+holders My GS doesnt have the lights but it will have when I get round to it, Bought the above and intend to fit either side of dash and one under rear of each front seat. I'll use a coloured LED bulb, cant decide on green or orange. Will post a few pics when i get a spare hour on a dry weekend. Well I must have an half and half car ... Looked under drivers side and plug there fully wired, popped a bulb similar to the one in your picture and it worked a treat, passenger side I took the fuse box cover off, probably did not need to but I had seen what I assumed was the cabin filter shoved up between the top of the fuse box and the glove box? Anyway its not the filter thats in the housing.. But no bulb holder or wiring for footwell lights on passenger side, just a round hole where it should be! Odd or what |

I have been avidly reading the site since I got my 14 TD4 SE Tech a week ago. Thought I would take a look for bulb holders in the foot wells. Sadly not a thing visible. Also removed the little plastic bit on the bottom of the front door pocket to look for puddle lamps. Again absolutely nothing. As mine is listed as a 2015 model? I thought the wiring might be there. I think it will be too much trouble to retro fit them. |

Its not really a big job, its only a live and an earth wire to each lamp, led bulbs so very low current.

Thanks Bob. Looks good. Do you have them wired to a switch or to interior lighting so they come when a door opens or just coming on with headlights? They look subtle enough to illuminate all the time. |

They are fed from the DRL / sidelight feed so they are actually always on, unnoticeable unless its dark. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I looked properly at the footwell and lo and behold the fittings were there all along but well hidden. You have to virtually lie on your back to see them. Not easy for me at 5/11 and 100kg. LED bulbs now fitted along with interior roof and vanity lights and boot light. Much crisper and brighter. A very good upgrade. Makes you think if LR go to the bother of putting the bulb holders in why not just stick a bulb in it. Next job is to look again at the bottom of the front doors. |
