For what it's worth this isn't one of those forums where the accepted welcome to the forum is "do a search".

But the converse of that Martin is to say Hello First in the correct thread to be able to be welcomed. I will give you an example of why I say that, from time to time the trade pop in and want the enthusiasts on here to answer a problem they have to then go off and levy a charge to a FL2 customer.

By all means PM if you have any issues. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

In all fairness to Yorky Bob, its not being rude or anything, this is just a Yorkshire thing, which southern softies can't understand; as a Southerner who moved to Yorkshire 10 years ago, several things took me by surprise.

Firstly the way people say "hello" or "ow-doo" or "eh-up" or "awreet" to passing complete strangers in my village, its a charming thing, once you get used to it. Out of habit I accidentally did this while visiting friends in Northampton and was looked at as if I was insane.

Secondly, Yorkshire folk generally don't waste time with 'niceties' when speaking, "if you've got summat to say, bloody get on with it"

Thirdly, if you have a problem, someone will always help you, regardless of inconvenience or expense, although never-ever neglect to pay them back.

There a many cultural uniques to anywhere else in Yorkshire, which is why Yorkshire folk are so staunchly partisan, even after 10 years I still get called a "bloody southerner" from time to time in my local, but now I know its just a term of endearment....I think it is anyway!

Regards,
Al

No 'ecky thump'? And there's me all these years thinking that was a general Yorkshire stereotyping Wink
