CEO been bleating about this and that for ages . If he so worried about profit downturn perhaps he should think about putting a realistic price on his motors. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Jaguar new car registrations are down -6.59% and Land Rover -9.48% year on year Jan to Aug against a market that's down -4.16% To be fair the diesel market is down -28.7% so for a manufacture to concentrate mainly on Diesel engine vehicles is putting all their eggs in one basket. Same goes for last years JD Power poll Land Rover 4th from the bottom of the list regarding reliability ( me thinks there is a pattern here) I for one will also not think twice about another Land Rover it will be with out a doubt a Japanese car. |

Reality check on their pricing and reliability is needed by JLR , I can buy a Volvo XC90 nearly Ā£8k cheaper than a disco .. and the Volvo will work. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

Lucky for us that the FL2 is still the most reliable modern car that Landrover has ever made - usually mid range reliability in surveys as opposed to near bottom for all other JLR stuff. Jules |

So why are Japanese/Korean cars so much more reliable ? What do they do different from the Europeans manufacturers ?

Iāve only ever had one Japanese built car - a new Nissan Sunny and a selection of nearly new Japanese motorcycles and Iāve struggled to see what all the fuss was about. From hideously poor quality welding on the bike frames and some very suspect electricals to some of the cheapest and nastiest materials on the Nissan (such as āmetalā bumpers that, once squashed, could be reformed by hand, without using any tools!). |

I begrudge paying top dollar for something that is according to surveys so poor also my old type Grand Vitara knocked spots off the DS i had as yet another courtesy car whilst mine was being fixed. Each to their own If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny. š Freelander 2 HSE auto 2014 ( Florrie ) ..... Try again. Freelander 2 GS 2012...... Gone. |

I blame Brexit for my ingrowing toenail - the major reason sales at JLR are down is the fact that the Government have demonised diesel cars. In addition folk are wary about committing large sums of money when ,allegedly, new technology is just around the corner. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
