Wood trim

Just won a brand new set of wood trim on eBay for £99.99 instead of £370 retail. As I haven't yet seen the instructions, can anybody give any clues as to what happens to the silver dash/glovebox trim already on my SE as this looks stuck on where the wood trim would go. Probably have to take it off ?

It's not really the proper aluminium kit - the SE has a kind of silver carbon fibre effect and also it doesn't go down the sides of the middle dash like the proper kit.

Kit arrived today. Comes with gear lever surround as well. Looks as if it should be any easy job - but I can't understand LR diagramatic only instructions especially no's 1 & 2. Can anybody help me as I'm still unsure as to whether I need to (or can) take off the original silver trim - also don't know why there are what appears to be two almost similar glove box trims.

Fitted the kit last weekend. I think the reason it comes with two glovebox trims, which look very similar, is that one goes over the existing silver trim on SE models whereas the other goes directly on to vehicles without any existing trim. You can tell which one to use as you need to cover/match up the ends with the glovebox open. You also need to loosen the gear lever trim so that the front edge will go under the base of the centre console.

It's kinda straightforward using gallery in the top navigation. Just place a link to it if you don't know how to connect them in the page.

everywhere you post you're gallery-link is posted automatically

Andy, just out of interest, have you got the wood trim factory option on your HSE and if so, is it the same wood as in the accessory kit ?
