This week ALDI have a very handy Tyre inflator at £29.99. I have just used it and found it extremely easy to use.
You just set up your pressure on display and press trigger until it automatically stops. It retains its settings, and is fool-proof. (well I could use it) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

The only problem is that Aldi rechargeable portable tool batteries have a poor lifespan, still when it dies you can modify the compressor to run from any of the 12v sockets in the car. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Get a compressor that you can connect to the car battery. While at it upgrade its cables.

The energy required to pump a tyre from flat to 40 PSI using my professional clamp meter is an average of 85 amps (up to 100 amps) for 90 seconds for my 3 compressors, while engine running at 14 volts.

0.035 kW/h or 35 Watt/hours per flat tyre.

Have you completely flattened a tyre & pumped up to the correct pressure? Also how long does it take?

I bought the small ALDI compressor for easy regular maintenance of my tyre pressures. I don't believe that I will be required to use it to fit a new tyre, or inflate one from scratch.

Handily it comes equipped with a 12v car power lead and dummy battery, as well as the mains charging lead.

It's a "re-engineered" Masterworks which has 3 x 3.6volt 1.3AH batteries. So 0.014 kW/h or 14 Watt/hours.

I can't see a duty cycle for these but probably 20% at the very best. So a maximum 6 minutes running every 30 minutes otherwise you will cook it. PSI accuracy +/-7%

Probably safer 3 minutes running each 15 minutes to let it cool down.

The compressors I'm using only have a duty cycle of 50% which is why I added heat sinks & cooling fans as they got so hot you would burn yourself. People don't realise just how hot these things get, 130°C. ARB's smallest compressor has a duty cycle of 35%. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
