Hi All

Hope someone has an answer, our FL2 XS has power seats - passenger seat occasionally only makes strange noise and no action - yesterday in had the heated seats on and only drivers seat warmed up.

When i got to work the seat still made the same noise with no movement on either switch, left the car till lunch and suddenly it started working again including heating. this is not the first time its happend

Anyone got any ideas please

I would check the electrical connections first.

Cheers for that I am home in a couple of hours and will check under the seat

As the power seat adjustment and heating functions of the passenger seat are separately fused, I can find only one common connection.

They both use the same earthing point (and most likely wire black/blue from junction S3D127) to earthing point G3D127-1.

Note, according to the wiring diagram, these wires are connected to Heated Seat Module (black), and Seat Switch Pack (and Power Seat Relay) (black/green). FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I will check out in morning as it is now raining.

well, i had a fiddle under the passenger seat and all seems k for the time being, also the two centre aux sockets now work !!!

yep, seems like it must be earthing problem somewhere, ianmetro do you have know where i can get a copy of the wiring diagram as i am not sure where the various junctions are..

brilliant ianmetro very good of you, i can now start to look where the cables are worn etc..

In an earlier post member lesiu30 found some earthing points attached to the brackets of the centre consol.

He said
Ok, I removed central console, found some earth wires attached to the console aluminium brackets, all looks good. took the jump lead from negative battery ( quite long) through open window and tried to start engine with clamp attached to every piece of metal inside the cabin.

Wow Ian metro, just ordered a defib machine - think i am going to need it soon !! believe my problem was under the passenger seat as once i "fiddled" with the cables and the two modules seat now works as do the two aux sockets on centre console.

Feel really sorry for the guy after all his perseverance trying to fault find only to have to virtually scrap his 2007 FL2
