Older cars benefit have an extra earth lead, lots of chatter via the search button above to include dimensions etc. A new solenoid pack fitted to starter is low money and known fault again use search and you can get the key fobs serviced by a guy on here. Later cars just change the the internal fob battery on each for about £1.50p. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I had the start button replaced which didn't make any difference.
