So have just realised that none of my interior lights work via the switch which I find quite odd, but my front centre map light and rear light, will Cole on automatically when the car is unlocked , and when ignition is turned off.

Anybody have idea why this is, have checked the bulbs there all good, I have a 2013 Freelander .

Some poor mans models do not have all the lights say like a HSE with foot-well lights also if someone has fitted led bulbs it could alter responses. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

The lights will not come on after, I think roughly 10 minutes, it's part of the car's over zealous battery management so you don't get a flat battery. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Hi Lighwater thank you for your response, if I understand that correctly I cannot turn on interior lights manually after car as been running for 10 mins, or after the ignition has been off for ten minutes .

When the ignition is turned off but you don't lock the car various things in the car start shutting down. Interior lights so many minutes, hifi 10 minutes, 12 volt outlets I think about 2 minutes etc etc.

Yes that's the correct I cannot turn interior lights in when engine is running.
But the main centre and rear map light do come on automatically when the car ignition switches off and when you unlock, I will first check the fuse .

I take it that you are referring to the map lights not working. Does it have the standard bulbs fiitted or led`s?
