I am taking delivery of a 2014 TD4 XS this week, I noticed it has front and rear parking sensors, however I would like to fit a camera for reversing. I am pretty sure the HLE came with it and wondered is the wiring already in place and where can I get a camera to match the plug on the existing wiring (if its already there). Tried to search the forum for this but either I missed it or no one has asked the same question (apologies if they have)
Any advice gratefully appreciated

The plug for the tailgate harness fixed camera is above the d-Pilar in the headliner.
The CVBS line from the floor harness under the gearshift to FCDIM will also be missing.
I’ll have a fixed Camera, camera plinth and factory harness available shortly from my vehicle.
I’ll also have available, purely by chance a spare Panoramic Camera System Module, complete vehicle harness set for all five cameras, CBVS harness and 1 rear surround camera.
You going to have to activate either Camera System in the CCF so I’d know which I’d put in. MY15

Thank you Stuartc for the reply, you raised some very interesting points which I am very grateful for.
I was under the impression that like all modern motors the wiring harness was in place and just needed the "item"and software updating to accept it. I fitted a cruise control stalk into my Antara (Captiva in your neck of the woods) and it was accepted as the loom was there. I was hoping that with a LR camera in place it would be plug and play (bar getting the settings updated) rather than buy an aftermarket camera and monitor?

No software update is necessary but unless you tell the vehicle the feature is fitted nothing will work. MY15

Sorry I confused myself (not hard) yes Imeant to say I was hoping that it would be pre wired, fit a camera and then tell the car its there.

The only part that will have the wiring present is the main floor harness, none of the other wiring will be present. MY15
