Gremlin in electrics

Hi guys hope someone can help.
I've owned my 2008 for 2 years, it's been faultless and love it.
But last week when driving down the motorway it went into limp mode, no warning lights but did flash up a message of miscommunication between engine but flashed off before I could read anything else.
I pulled of, switched off, restarted the car and all good again.
My local garage scanned the codes and one came up for a cruise control fault.
Anyway, that was a one off but hasn't come back. Yet.

Noi another fault has arrose.
My keyfob stopped responding. It's 10 year old so I've sent that to the fella on eBay for a refurb

Using my spare fob, when I hold the door open button, doors and tailgate open and all windows. As it should.
If I hold down to close, it locks, but only closes 1 rear window.
If I'm in the car and use the window controls, all 4 will go down with one push. Only the one rear window will go up with one push, the rest I have e to keep my finger in the switches.
Living in hot part of Spain I often use this feature.
Anyone got any ideas to why this has stopped and where to start looking before I take it to LR here?
They want €75 just to pull up in the car park!
I haven't got my old key back yet as been sent to an address in UK for me to collect in aug. Don't trust international post.

Cheers in advance.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes reconnecting then resetting the Windows ?

Was just about to add that. Yes, last week after the limp mode episode and after the code check I did disconnect the battery for a good hour.
One other problem arose that I forgot about, the fuel light came on and the gauge showed empty. I had well over half a tank of fuel.
Again turned of ignition, restarted it and it worked.
I've been reading through here via the search option and I keep seeing "Hard reset" but can't actually find how to do a hard reset.
Does anyone think that will work?
If so can you tell me how to hard reset it.

To reset the windows is it just a case of closing them and keeping the switch pressed for 10seconds?
Tried that. But only the rear left works.

AS per handbook. Thumbs Up
Window reset The windows will need to be reset if the battery is disconnected, becomes discharged, or power supply is interrupted. Reset as follows:1. Close the window fully. 2. Release the switch, then lift it to the close position and hold for two seconds. 3. Open the window fully. 4. Release the switch, then push it to the open position and hold for two seconds. 5. Lift and release the switch to operate the one touch function. 6. Repeat the procedure on each window

Dave47.
Thank you.
All windows working as should again.
Have to ask though, where in your handbook did you find that??
I've got 1 page on windows, page 11 and that just tells you how to put them up and down.
Cheers
Steve.

EDIT
Yeah, found it now. Page 95.
Thanks again.
