They can’t be as bad as Green Flag they use a contractor I know well & I would not trust him to fix my wheelbarrow |

Plenty of complainers about poor and shoddy breakdown service on the RAC forum. Strangely, after a complaint, there’s always a first time poster thanking a RAC patrol for doing a splendid job. They never post more than once though...... Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Jules, as well as breakdown cover with Driver Guardian I took their Legal Protection policy that provides £100k legal fees, claims for repairs and car hire, personal injury, recovery of uninsured losses. This costs me £18 for myself and Significant Other, a damn sight cheaper than adding this cover to my car insurance |

if a green flag van turned up that would be because the contractor the rac used was also a green flag agent, and if they knew they used a green flag van they would be severely reprimanded, and possibly struck off their list. |

It’s all very well using little known, bargain price breakdown cover but the real test is when you need the service. That’s not the time to find out that you paid too little. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Same with insurance, don’t know what your premiums worth until you make a claim. Look at some of the reviews the AA and RAC get and you wonder why you’d pay their prices?
