The bit left over !

So having taken off the inner wings to clean up behind them and Waxoyl I find the sealing strip below, about 9" long at the NSF wheel and slightly curved.

I can't match it to sit on a panel edge so need your assistance to where it sits or has it dropped from above ?

Any Ideas ?

I would say not the rear trims Martyn thanks as I have 4 of those still and they are all the same length. Do the fronts have 2 each as well as I have longer ones for each side at the front but only one like that shown. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I looks like a front piece to me. It goes on the leading edge of the wheel arch

In the light of day I have been back out to re-look and I an convinced its not the wheels arch it goes on as its also much narrower.

A bit of a mystery so far. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I wonder could it be a mis matched replacement someone put on?

I have a box( boxes?) of "come in handy" bits, in which to put the items that I seem to have left over following my 'expert' dismantling and assembly.
Over the years my collection has become quite extensive, and very, very, occasionally, a bit does come in handy. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015)

(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Reminds me of a guy at school who had this great Lambretta (some years ago I'd add Wink ) which he used to regularly dismantle, clean and reassemble. Often he'd have a bolt left over and usually it was a biggun'. Heavens know how that Lambretta never fell to pieces
