I fitted similar and used a spade connector into one of the connectors in a spare relay socket in under bonnet fusebox. I think it was the relay socket for adaptive headlights which becomes live with ignition. |

I can't help with the extra wire but I fitted some switchback drl/indicator bulbs and powered them from and empty slot in the fuse box using a piggy back fuse.

Just looked at the wiring listing and it says Green wire is for strobe which maybe a warning light for the dashboard to say they're on????

Reading your posted instructions, I can only imagine that the strobe wire is feed from the horn button to give 'emergency vehicle' strobe lighting when horn is pressed.
