Belgium 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
New Freelander 2 - cubby box

I got my new Freelander this week : HSE spec, auto, Stornoway. Great car.
Between the seats there is not a real place to put something (cell phone, coins, etc) out of sight. I noticed in the option list that the 'Premium pack' version (as it is called here in Belgium) does contains a small container with lid that fits in the existing rectangular space. Is this accessory available separately and where can I order one ? My dealer says it is not possible. Many thanks. Wim

Never heard of it.. but it must be available seperately if not an option. Just get the part number for it and buy it afterwards and stick it in. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

i have seen a little slide door for the rear box, but not something what you describe

Also there is the ashtray, which has a lid but is circular and stored in the round drinks holders, this is normally a free item on new orders Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

i have seen some photos somewhere of the FL2 interior that has the rear rectangular box covered with a concertina type lid, pretty sure its on the options list and is available seperately but seem to remember someone saying its a sod to fit as it has to be screwed / bolted in place. Or am i making all of this up? Will have a hunt later see if i can find it!

cubby box for Freelander 2

Dear morrisgf,

Congratulations and enjoy your wonderful car !

I guess you are talking about he cubby box with sliding ellbowrest and container inside, which is offered by Woodcompany (www.woodcompany.com/freelander2007.htm ). I got mine in Alpaca-beige, real leather, from a Dealer in Germany (Mr. Placo, mobile phone +49-170-1401495; e-mail: info@armlehnecenter.de ) for EUR 135,- including shipping. He had 2 more available last month, just give it a try.

Best regards

@morrisgf:

I have just uploaded a picture of the FL2 Cubby box from the woodcompany at the members galeries (today's date) for your information. If that is the one you are looking for, you know where to find it.

Ughh, those look awful (my opinion), it blocks the 2nd cup holder too. I'll go take a picture of the Premium Pack option and will upload it after I have dinner.
