United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Look good and pricy ? anyone have any feedback on these for winter use ? currently running 19" now looking for winter wheels and tyres after last year stuck down our track for a week. Though to be fair I did get out with my Avon ZX7 with all the gadgets switched on just prefer something more suited.

They look nice n chunky, just what the FL2 needs. Thumbs Up

Would be good to hear about road holding and noise, once you given them a good run in. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Nothing personal but aggressive tyres and side steps is a bit of a contradiction I feel. Not for me. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yes I agree,
I always think I prefer nothing to get in the way, I like the ground clearance, nasty rocks and things sticking out Shocked

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

How do these extreme tyres compare with good quality all terrain tyres when having to cope with normal road and rain conditions?

Are they more dangerous in normal road use? FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)

(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

I wouldn’t think so.
Looking at a close up of the tread pattern it appears to have lots of nice thin grooves and a comprehensive small
Pattern as well as chunky grooves.

I assume it’s a winter compound To make them sticky in cold weather?

They certainly look the part.

Are they meant for snow?

Apparently they are fully winter rated and as good as a lot of dedicated road tyers

On the disabled note. How much clearance is actually lost please?
For verification purposes I need clearance to get out of lane but am finding it harder to get in FL so at moment use a stepstool which I keep in boot Wink
Running on 18's at present. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
