This is how my grill has suddenly started to go in the last month
has this happened to anyone else ..??

Landrover dealer said it was not bodywork so not covered under warranty (when I asked which part of the engine or suspension it was the girl just shrugged her shoulders and said "I Dunno" )

yep its happened to loads on here, there is a current ongoing thread on it as well.

it seems to be a common problem and as it isn't paint work as such (even though its like a clear coat peeling) it isn't covered by paint warranty or by LR warranty. Some dealers have resprayed or replaced under warranty IIRC but I think that's more of a good will gesture rather than policy.

the only options are a) live with it 2) respray the same colour (atlas silver) or c) spray the whole grill in one colour (black being the most popular choice)

Mines started to go... but not as bad as that .

Do you get Atlas Silver paint from the Land Rover shop or Halfords? and then does it need lacquer on top , or is the paint suffice do you know ?

Thanks

Dean

you can get he atlas silver from anywhere I guess, in a rattle can. But I didn't get mine done so cant comment on whats involved sorry.

because its in such a noticeable place it isn't something I would like to attempt myself, so I was going to get it sprayed professionally all in black.

I suppose the trim is not available as a spare, not sold separately from the grille / bumper. Mines going on either side.
I understand it’s a Censored of a job to separate from the main grille assembly. Gone:
