OE HIDs are 35w.

That must be it then. They are running at 55w. I bought them with this conversion kit in place.

5000k is as high as you can go (4800 is optimal for maximum lumens) before lumens drops off noticeably.

Thanks. And just to clarify, the higher wattge warms the Kelvin rating (lower).
