I can't fault Plusnet. Been with them since the days of dial up internet. Now on their fibre extra. Excellent customer service and some good deals around at the moment. Only thing is, the router they supply is terrible. I now use a Netgear Nighhawn D7800.

Isn't Plusnet a cheapo sub brand of BT? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Plusnet is owned by BT but it does it's own thing. Far better than BT though

I am with Plusnet as it is now I joined then when thry were originaly called Force9, hence I have been with them for years and remained with them when I moved.

They know what there talking about and there Tech suport is first class, ( my ex went with BT when I left and her speeds are almost half what PN were giving me to the same house and line) as some one else said there router is a bit crap but I use an Asus RT-AC88U AC3100

They will also provide you with a Static ip and web space if you need it ( think its still standard on there packages ), if your a Gamer like me they can also priorities your traffic towards gaming HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

TBH any router supplied by an isp is usually pretty crap as they usually have allot of features disabled or crippled to stop the end user altering settings that way they send you a standard router that is plug and go so they know there tech support should get any set up issues

If you like to play and tweak your setting to get the best out of your router and to get better speeds I will always use a third party router that can be set up for my needs and not how they want it. HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

Yup, that's something they don't tell you. Their router isn't some magic box that only they can supply. All you need is the ISP username and password (which you would need to ask for) and then put that in the right place of whatever router you bought.

I would also say, I jumped ship from an excellent independent ISP who were more aimed at businesses and serious geeks (me) as they had fantastic support. But they were really expensive. Moved to Vodafone and I've had no issues and a good solid line. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

With my Plusnet supplied router i was only getting around 40mbps downstream. Using netgear router my speeds went up to around 65Mbps. Much more control with you own router as well.
