I did hear somewhere that the V10 diesel had 2 batteries, as it took that much power to start it. That's some engine, imagine that in the FL2. Laughing

Yes, that is true. The V10 has two batteries. So I imagine the W12 has. That is a monster motor.
I must confess I do admire the Touareg. Not for the motors, but the driving-abilities. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

In terms of size, cost etc isn't it the VW Tiguan that is comparable with the FL2?

1: The Touareg is definitely in the same league as Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. I imagine the Disco 3 to be one league down from that? Remember the Touareg is actually a Porsche Cayenne, but with a VW-badge. -And with the abilities to drive Off-Road, -which isn't Porsche Cayennes strongest point.

2: Tiguan again is one league down from FL2's league. Tiguan can be compared to Toyota RAV-4 and similar.

In FL2's leage you find X3, Q5, GLK, XC60 (have I forgotten anyone?)

In Touaregs league you find Cayenne, X5, Q7, ML, GL, XC90 and of course Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

I know a guy who was a VW dealership manager (until it got recently credit crunched). He said the Toe-rag was a bit of a Chelsea Tractor and wasn't that capable off road. Maybe if he wasn't so honest the dealership would still be with us?

No, not right now - but he did make that comment a couple of years ago while he was still game-fully employed and business was good!
