All Terrain tyres for Freelander 1, seeking advice

Hi all

My son has a FL1 with 225/55/17 tyres on.

He wants to fit all terrain tyres, any recommendations?

This seems to be an awkward size so are there any others that are close enough?

Would it be ok to fit Insa Turbos?

Thanks in advance.

Luke

I still think that the FL1 looks more like a proper off roader. With drop down rear window you could carry long lengths of stuff too and if you had a couple of flatulent teenagers in the back you could change the air in the car in seconds. Laughing 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I had General Grabber AT2 on both my FL1's and found them to be brilliant, bit IIRC they were 16'' wheels.

I went with 235/70x17 Yokohama Geolander at's on my F1 and it had a nice driving feeling both on/off road.
