Clicking noise

I have a clicking noise which seems to come from the offside of the car. There is just one click when pulling away and when easing off and sometimes while in stop start traffic. Its not a knock as such and rarely does it on bumpy surfaces.
From the driving seat it seems to be coming from lower down. I have looked at the seat frame but can,t get any noise from that. Also checked the seat belts for touching the plastic trim.
Just wondered if anyone else had come across this.Nothing loose in the boot etc.

Can,t find anything loose under the seat and as with many problems it may be something that someone has come across.
Thanks

Chris,
Thanks, that is excellent, as the second bulletin is just about spot on with the noise I get.
When I mentioned the clicking to the dealer they said they hadn,t come across it before.

Just an update on the "clicking noise" The car has been in to the dealers and the noise has now gone. They told me there was something loose behind the front offside plastic sill protector !! When they first heard the noise they thought it was something on the front offside suspention strut.

Hi Guys,

I have been plagued by this type of noise over the last year or so with the car. Dealer was at loss - they replaced a rear spring seat - no difference. I'm now told it's a known issue and it's in the rear offside door - goes in tomorrow for 1/2 a day - I wait with everything crossed as has driven me nuts.

I'll let you know how it goes

I would like to know what result you get at the dealers in case of further problems in this area myself.

Hi Guys

Car in Taggarts Glasgow for a couple of hours this morning. They had a ldetailed instructions which mentioned a jacking point - lots of pictures. Car returned clean and, so far, click free. If it's the same problem as mine it should be fixable. Good service from Taggarts

Hi Grumpy,
The noise I hear seems to be fitting your description.
Was your problem finally cured?
Was it finally in the door?
What should I ask my technician to look for?

Thanks

Mine has been ok for several months now and the only information I have is as posted above, which is a bit bit vague I know but that is all I could get from the dealer at the time.
