2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame

AM not working.

I have a 2007 SE with the Alpine audio system. For some reason AM has no volume. It will search and find stations but there is no sound even when a station is found. Any ideas?

It's handy in northern France to be able to listen to Radio 4 news on long wave. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Do you remember the messages sent on Sunday mornings seeking travellers to contact UK. Often wondered if they were coded messages for those working behind the then iron curtain. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yes indeed, the messages always sounded a bit like wartime messages to spies. Messages like "this is an SOS message for Mr & Mrs Smith currently travelling in France. Will Mr & Mrs Smith currently travelling in France please contact the nearest LR dealer about their car which is dangerously ill and needs a new rear diff bearing". 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Thank you for your assistance chaps, as always. I did do a search before asking but it didn't come up for some reason.

I was rather hoping it was just some idiosyncrasy that I wasn't pressing the right button but, as it looks like it needs a replacement module I don't think I will bother.

I very seldom want to listen to AM so spending time/money to get it working isn't really high on the list of priorities.

Surprised you don’t need it in Yorkshire, but there are plenty of stretches of road in Scotland where FM is not available.

Also useful here when Radio Scotland does a split frequency with one programme on FM and a different one on AM (although since it is normally to broadcast a football match on AM, I must admit I normally stick with the FM part of the split!). 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

We have Steam Radio.

DAB is the issue around Yorkshire as FM is generally A1 OK. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
