I hadn’t thought to try another oil filter, it was advertised as the correct one and looked the same.. I might buy another one tomorrow and swap it over (oil level and type is correct)

So I opened up the filter housing (again.. I’m getting good at that).. and thought I’d found the problem, there was a little plastic disc free in the bottom of the housing.

The paper element is supposed to clip onto a plastic stud located inside the cover. It holds the element quite tightly so you know if it's on correctly or not.

I looked at the cap and all looked to be ok and the filter clipped in and stayed in place so I assume it’s ok |

For anyone interested, I had a look under the sump and found this, goodled the serial number and it’s an oil level sensor, pretty easy to change out but not easy to get (in Australia anyway)

Paul you’re a genius, that’s exactly the little piece I found in the filter housing thanks very much for the help... just need to find one of those spring pieces... you’d be better than a genius if you can steer me in the right direction for that 😊
