We stayed for 5 nights on this lovely 12 pitch adult only site over the bank holiday weekend. The site is very clean and tidy with a real countryside feel to it, as it should, being about half a mile from the nearest village. The owners are very friendly and helpful and when you arrive you are given a folder with loads of useful information about the local area. Being a small site there are only 2 showers (1 for the ladies and 1 for the chaps) but there was never any wait. The big bonus is the swimming pool which we made use of on most days. There are strict arrival and leaving times due to the lane to get to the site being almost single track but this is only just over half a mile.

Worked with someone years ago who had a static caravan on a small site and he and his wife went there pretty regularly. He got back on the Monday saying what a great weekend they'd had, BBQ, beer etc etc and we'd always wondered why he'd not invited us along - the site was only an hour or so away, so it wasn't a question of him needing to bed us down for the night as we could have driven home. Found out some years later that it was a naturists site |

My brother in law runs a camp site on his farm in North Devon on the coast and has a few caravans that are permanently pitched there over the summer. Last year they had one van where the brakes had rusted on and they couldn't move it with his Defender so he connected his big tractor and promptly pulled the tow hitch off . They then bought the telehandler in and picked up the whole thing and carried it down to his workshop where they welded it back together (telling other campers that this is what happens if you don't pay your dues ) . 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The nearest pub is about a 15/20 minute walk into the village. We were lucky the weekend we were there as the pub had a beer festival with hog roast and live band. The pub is also dog friendly. |

If it's Greendale, watch out for Postman Pat's black and white cat if you are dog walking. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
