Hey guys, looking for some assistance with a new issue on my Freelander 2.

Recently I've noticed that when the autobox is changing in lower gears, I think 2nd and 3rd the car 'dumps' and sends me forward. It's difficult to explain but its like ive put my foot on the break for a split second.. seriously annoying and concerning. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what it could be? Trying to get to the cause before it gets any worse.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!
It's a 2010 auto xs nav with 90k on clock.

Hi everyone
I carried out the following procedure and it seems to have cured the 'odd' gearshifts, e.g unexpected downshift when going up inclines, not holding the gear, causing the engine to scream without any increase in speed etc. I think the cause is down to my attempts at driving like a vicar in order to save an extra 3 mpg, so after carrying out the following, I drove it like I stole it, and it drives like a new car.
Adaptive transmission reset procedure:
1. Insert key fob in dash
2. Turn on ignition by pressing the start button WITHOUT foot on brake (I.e. Don't start the engine)
3. Press accelerator to the floor for 30 seconds
4. Release accelerator pedal leave key in dash, and press the start button to switch off ignition...wait 30 seconds
5. Start car as normal, and drive it hard for a few miles.

Does anyone know the possibly mechanical cause of this? I'm worried it's a sign of something expensive to come!!

So I tried that fix and no luck. The car seems be lacking power low down.. quite concerning. Any ideas on why these issues could be occurring?

Ended up taking the car in. Turns out it was a ripped turbo pipe that was causing the issues.
