Generally the software has most of the cars features in it, and only needs to be told which features are present. This master list is the Car Configuration File (CCF) and is stored in the BCM and IPC.

Interestingly I saw a S in a pub car park on Tuesday, stunning condition in green and a credit to its owner. How basic are they ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
