My dog came across this in the woods the other day. What was it? Dog? Fox? Crocodile hybrid?

That looks very much like the remains of a Greyhound/Lurcher which has properly past its best and some sicko has blowtorched and skinned it. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

While it certainly looks like a dog, that looks like a badger track going under the fence, so could it be a badger? Skull doesn’t seem as rounded on the nose as I would expect for a badger, but difficult to tell. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

See where you coming from Worms but think its too long in the jaw and shape. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
