MOST circuit

Do we have anyone on the forum that has an insight into the MOST circuit?

Looks like after 11 years of good service I have a break in the audio optical circuit. My first guess is the line that goes into the audio system main control unit.

Manipulating this cable causes an intermitent signal at the next connector.

It's a ring, and directional ish. You need to find out which module isn't receiving any light. If you've limited it to a specific area, is the problem with the cable or the module? You may be able to get a service reflector to bridge the two wires at the component and rule out that module. There is one by the cabin fuse box.

If it's the cable you need to find out roughly what length it is, and swap it out. A company called 'LRI' had a few full length repair cables on eBay for around £15.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

It looks to me like the cable from the CD player to the control module. The cable has a bend with a radius of no more than 10mm so I'm guesing over time it's fatigued.

I've order up 4 replacement cables just in case. 57 SE i6
