I have read through various threads on Fitting a towbar with genuine Land Rover wireing and purchased towbar and electric from genuine LR Dealership
Due to illness I did not get around to fitting the electrics and a year has lapsed since I bought the wiring! Recently I have fitted the wiring kit all as per LR supplied instructions and today tried to get a independent LR specialists to TURN them on
To his and my surprise they system will not work all the lights on the trailer board! It has brake light but no side lights nor indicators!
We tried several boards and a caravan all the same brake lights but nothing else!

I called at another LR specialist just to try if there was any solution but the same only after a total,reset and program set brake lights only!

To say I'm fustrated is an understatement and I've work on all types of Land Rovers for years but people say the towbar electrics ar a pain

Any advice much appreciated

If it helps I think the brake light is a direct feed to the trailer module and all the other lights are can bus driven.

Yes I think that's the case! Just need the rest to work!

Go and use a tow bar company who do it daily:

The activation of the modual is to make the can bus side work and modify the parking sensor operation, so it looks like the modual is faulty or not correctly activated yet.
As YB says it needs to be looked at by someone who knows these towbar moduals.

Wild guess but have you fitted the two fuses and relay that came with the kit as per the fitting instructions?

Yes all fuses etc fitted and checked! I'm thinking it could be a module malfunction
