MOT Advisory - Front Radius Arm Bushes

Afternoon All,
Just had my MOT done and ended up with two advisories:
- Radius arm synthetic bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement - Nearside Front.
- Radius arm synthetic bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement - Offside Front.
Had a look on returning home and without taking the undersheld etc. off they look OK to me for five years and 50K miles. Bit dusty but OK.
Has anyone ever changed their radius arm bushes on a FL2 or is it easier to buy complete new radius arms (left & right)? I'm told the two piece bushes are easy to fit without a press, just difficult getting the old ones out.
I haven’t used this MOT station previously and possibly will think before using again because they quoted the mileage incorrectly on the MOT sheet at 60,800 mile rather than 50,800 miles, and weren’t happy about changing it either. Censored Just used them for convenience this year, back to my usual station next year. First advisory I've had since they started listing these. Surprised
All the best,

I would just ignore it,well done on getting the mileage corrected that would have looked well dodgy in later years.

Agreed, that would have looked really odd in future years now the mileage history is noted on the MOT sheet.
Mines five years old at the end of May and it’s averaged 9.5 to 10.5 K per year. A sudden jump to 20K a year may be suspicious to any future buyer.
Thanks,

I think that a mileage of around minus 500 next year would have looked even worse. Very Happy 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

The MOT tester said he couldn’t read the odometer properly. The ‘5’ looked like a ‘6’apparently. What with that and the dodgy call on the bushes, I should have recommended he went to Specsavers. Laughing Gone:

sounds like an incompetent MOT tester, and I would not use them again, or worry about the advisory.

but to refuse to correct the mileage mistake I would not have accepted.

We're not allowed to refuse to correct the mileage if we put it down wrong but I think it has to be done within a week or it can’t be changed after that (by the mot station anyway). Costs nothing and doesn’t take long. I had to change the mileage on one a month or so ago on my sisters car - after the test I commented that she’d done 35000 miles or so in the last year in her X5 which she hardly uses, looking at the previous mileages recorded but she pointed out to me that her kids had been fiddling with the dash and somehow changed it to Km’s!!! I didn’t notice and just wrote the numbers down. Mistakes can happen, luckily it was family. Embarassed Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

A few years ago I took my wife's car for an MOT, I didnt notice until I got home but the garage had put the mileage as 100000 instead of 10000. I took the car straight back to the garage and a new certificate was issued straight away by a very red faced tester! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Now I'm an electrical avionics engineer not trained in the automotive field at all, but I had a good look underneath today at the wishbones and the bushes look perfect to me. Just a little dusty after 50K. So as advised I'll forget about it.......until the next MOT.
Wishbones look fairly easy to change just need a large torx bit (not sure of the size, T50?) and a better ball joint splitter than the one I have. Gone:
