I do wish Autocar hadn’t followed AE down the route of inventing PhotoShop images and then writing a story around them!

Their stories may be no more credible than AE now, but the idea of something of sub Freelander 1 is interesting.

A baby Freelander was always on the cards in LR's future model line up [produced a few years back].
This is when they announced the three separate categories LR models would come under.

i would definitely have a good look at something like that from the LR stable, I loved both my FL1 3 door autos, being able to take the roof off was great in sunny weather, I had hard tops but did get a soft top to fit but found it too fiddly so sold it on and got the shower cover.
If a future FL3 was similar size and had the option to remove the roof Its got to be worth a look at in my book (depending on price)

Would hazard a guess that it will not have all the Kia toys and the same price tag

But saying that would have a look at #4. the 'super five' Freelander if it wasn't an absolutely ridiculous price which seems to be the way If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Totally agree, AE quite often stick a car that is coming out in 6 - 12 months on the cover and then inside state "this is how we think it will look..." They might as well put a potato on the cover with 4 wheels for what its worth.
