Do the door mirrors dip on the HSE

I know the interior one does when subjected to following headlamps but do the exteriors ones do too?

The interior mirror dimms with bright lights from behind. The door mirrors don't, though I have never found that to be a problem. The door mirrors can be set up to move the glass to a different position when you select reverse on the HSE and will also move to the position set up for each seat memory setting.

I suppose you could set 1 seat memory with the mirrors in their normal position and another with the mirrors tilted to look down, with the seat not moving between the two. That would be slow though and the seat buttons can be hard to find while driving - Confused don't think I'll bother He who dies with the most tools wins!

Thanks for that, Ive never had them before so wont really miss them. I just read a thread on here which seemed to suggest they did.

I think you are asking a different question than the other thread you mention.

The exterior mirrors dip when reversing, if you have the HSE model. They don't dip for night-time headlight glare from behind, as per the interior mirror. Chris

The interior mirror doesn't move - the glass just goes slightly opaque, with a blueish tint, when light shines on it. I guess it's just a polarised layer.

The exterior mirrors move when reverse gear is selected. However I don't think the reversing position is memorised, as I tried to set up one memory slot with mirrors pointing down and one with mirrors in the forward driving position (for reversing a trailer); the selected memory would only give me the latest position I had set.
