United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Intermitent Starting Issue and computer trip zeros

I have been having issues as the car does not start sometimes on first button press. Sometimes I have to take my foot off the clutch and it starts when I depress the clutch again and then sometimes it doesn't and I have to take the key out of the docking station and then start again and it starts first attempt. I have noticed that the computer trip resets itself when this happens, Just wondered if anyone else had the same issue and perhaps knows what it is and how to solve it. It happened very occasionally before but has happened more often recently Any suggestions welcomed.

IPC ECU sounds like it’s doing a reset due to voltage dropping below a critical threshold so probably battery but a dodgy earth would also cause an issue. Be worth replacing battery and fitting extra earth strap which has been covered on here numerous times for earlier L359.

There was a softwear up date for this sort of issue , search "LTB 00093" it might help.
