or how about this one

if those of us who want one join together we get 25% off. Common sense isn't very common.

that is the 2017/18 version - these are the same people that I received an email from recently, they expect to have the 2018/19 version soon, but it is likely to be the last ever update.

Listing suggests its for Fl2 dvd-based satnavs, 2006-2012. That suggests it wouldn't work in a 2013 plate onwards?

Thanks Sidthecat for pointing those details out. I'll have to a bit of research, just got a MY2015 SD4 Metro, which I'm guessing updates from the CD/DVD drive in the fascia. As yet have no idea about update compatibility.

@micken

Yours as is mine updates by USB stick, as yet I have not found a reasonably priced update. I'm not willing to b**ls the system up by moving files from disc to USB to try it.

You cannot update a 2015 hard drive system via the CD/DVD drive it can only be updated via USB.

The two systems; DVD for earlier models and hard drive for later models are totally different and not interchangeable in anyway.

OK thanks EYorkshire and rchrdleigh. Having looked into it I can see that mine is hdd based. I also use Sygic for real time route info so I’m guessing that I’ll bide my time until a more recent usb update is available for the FL2, if ever. Cheers,

There are USB updates out there but the all seem to be about £170 and are VIN specific,

I think that they give you access to the updated files which you have to down load to a USB stick rather than sending you a new USB.
