open windows

Hi folks
Wonder if you could help
suddenly (after having a new battery fitted but not sure if its the cause), the windows wont close after I have opened them with the fob.
also, the window wont one touch close, it stops when you release the switch.
Any help would be appreciated

Your need to reset all the windows.
Then global close will work. MY15

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

the windows need a reset.

from the drivers seat (individual doors if you prefer)
press and hold the window switch down to open the window and hold down for 10+ seconds
lift and hold the window switch to close the window and hold up for 10+ seconds

repeat for all 4 windows.

that should sort it for you, its a common thing to have to do after a power disruption

You will find there which systems are affected by battery disconnection and which is the procedure for resetting the windows.

..... 10 seconds ??????? 1 second ..... as per the manual.

whenever ive tried the 1sec hold it never works so I just hold it down/up for about 10 secs.

but then ive rarely had to reset the windows on any of my FL2
