How many on here have had there DPF hose(s) replaced? If so what sort of miles were on the vehicle? Wonder if extended warranty covers it

Warranty hand book states is does not cover...

A Very Scottish Approach.

Seems like it would be a easy enough (and cheap) job to do yourself.

 FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Had an exhaust sensor go on a 2011 model, LR Assist guy spotted that the DPF hose was about top split so that was done at the same time all under extended warranty. Mileage around 60k 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

I wonder if they get worn out when the re-gen of the DPF occurs ?

So a vehicle that does not re-gen often will last longer than one that has to re-gen regularly ?

For what it's worth, my LR Assist guy said that it was fairly common and he just put it down to the fact that the pipe is too short and gets stretched and stressed then when it hardens with heat and age they usually go in the same place. Sounds like a poor choice of material. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

To be honest I don't know, I didn't bother to crawl under and find out. If I were doing it I would replace both, the pipe can't be that expensive. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Well I have since found out that it’s a complete assembly. Extended warranty will thankfully cover it. Im a bit flabbergasted as the car is really really low miles.

LR replaced mine under warranty at 30k miles or thereabouts
waste of time as the rubber pipes are still too short

once Home I replaced rubber pipes myself with longer stuff.

So what are the symptoms when it goes.  FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Engine management light will come on and car will be in restricted performance. Mines just starting to split but needs to be replaced ASAP. Dealers have fitted some insulation tape over it for the time being allegedly. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

RAC fixed mine piece of fuel pipe two clips job done.

No symptoms at all on Mine
they spotted it during a service
tried to get me to pay for it but it was still under warranty so I had to book it in another time when it was replaced.
