Hi Stuartc.
I had the same problem today too. What I noticed is that when I turned off bluetooth on my phone and the phone was disconnected, the radio would play ok and when the phone button was pushed on the head unit, nothing happened.
It would not go to the phone screen.
so I pulled the MOST Ring Break and left it out for a couple of hours.
When I put it back and connected the phone, it looked like the problem was resolved but after a while, same thing.....

could it be a faulty bluetooth module, or my phone? I remember that at times while I was on a call it would disconnect and lose the connection to the phone. But that would happen once in a month's time or so, so I didn't think of it much...

Any ideas, anyone?

Update:
I did the hard reset procedure. Disconnected the battery, left for 10 minutes, touched the + and - leads for 10 seconds and reconnected.
No joy... as soon as I connect my phone to bluetooth the stereo goes haywire.

Anyone knows if I can verify whether the bluetooth module is faulty and how?
