Doesn't your own insurance cover you for a loan car

Down Under they are charging $40. I too have never been charged for a loan car. I told LR that if you charge me for a loan car i would take my business elsewhere.

My insurance policy states that I can drive other cars but I would only be covered for 3rd party. T&C require fully comp. TD4, HSE, Santorini Black, SS side protection tubes, clear side repeaters, chrome wing mirror covers |

I have heard of this before but it's bit cheeky especially in this current financial climate....

Yep, mines like that too but if it's for service/repair at authorised dealer then I'm covered fully comp. Which insurance company mines Land Rover Insurance which might be why its different, but as Snappa says, its a bit cheeky of them. For what its worth, I'd sit and wait whilst its being done, should only take an hour according to Land Rover. ______________________ 2011 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 2012 FL2 SD4 Auto HSE 2013 Kawasaki Versys 650 |

I get paid by the hour so it would be cheaper to pay the £20.

Yes I have experienced this, the dealer was at pains to point out the charge was for insurance, the car was being offered for free.
