It’s bad enough when owners remove “LAND ROVER” from their proper Discovery and put on “DISCOVERY” in its place Shocked

I’m sorry, but you did ask; this looks terrible Sad The Freelander 2 is a genuine Land Rover and can wear its original badge with pride Thumbs Up

I'm afraid I agree with the above, it's a Landrover , don't be shy about showing it. I think the black badges against a dark paint colour don't look great either, but it's your car, and if it pleases you then great Thumbs Up Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I quite like the black on grey but am also not feeling the Freelander script. It looks reasonably OEM so doesn't shout "wrong" but I prefer Land Rover. As others have said, Land Rover is a name you can wear with pride.

Wales 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 Sport Auto Lago Grey

Got all my lettering from eBay. Ordered DEFENDER and LANDROVER in Matt black and worked out the spacing. The rear Freelander 2 was actually available on eBay on its own.
The reason I chose Matt Black is that mine is a ‘Sport’ and I wanted the badging to be understated. 32 years / 25 Vehicles

I find myself pondering what you could do with the left over letters Smile

I know it is only one letter longer but it looks a lot "bigger" too the point (to me) it doesn't really seem to fit.

I also agree that gloss black would have looked more subtle as you wouldn't have such a contrast in finish with the shine of the paintwork.

But hey, these thoughts are irrelevant, it is your car and if it makes you happy good on you. It was a clever idea well executed. Well done.

I think the colour the proportions and the spacing is just right.

The whole layout makes the bonnet and the overall vehicle look wider.

As for the Freelander 2 rear badge, I think most people know its a Freelander 2 ........ would just the wording, in same matt black smaller font just say Land Rover ? that would look very different, as is your bonnet.

I used the Freelander 2 logo as an anagram for my second build trailer .... LAND REEFER 2

..... as its a 'cool white box' trailer.

I like the look of this.

We've just picked up our Freelander 2 - TD4 Commercial and whilst it will be our work horse, the fact that the badges have come adrift is something that I'd like to get sorted sharpish.

Whether Land Rover or Freelander, I think the understated nature of the dark on darker works...although ours is silver!

Thanks for the links to lettering products too. Although I think as others have said, I'm going to try the Plasticote route as I've a couple of cans rolling around after "painting" the break between rear windows.
