I haven't had a look but you will find all parts on here http://cat.lrparts.ru. Ensure you click for English.

I know this is an old thread but I have a leak in that same rusty pipe, so I wanted to know if you, or anyoine else, knows what it is so I can tell my little garage! I have a pinhole leak in it, causing a loss of all fluid within minutes. Is there a way of patching it for now? Plus, will it damage the car if I drive without PAS?

Hello,

Wow- this was a while ago.

From what I remember the hoses come in two complete sides. Left and right.
I think it was about £150 per side from Land Rover. But could be wrong

Don’t drive without fluid, it will destroy pump and rack in minutes
Hope this helps. It’s not really an option to patch it up

Thanks. I drove it home the 3 or 4 miles, then topped it up with fluid and watched it spurt out of the pinhole. I'll give some exhaust tape a try, to see if it'll give me a few days grace. Not really sure I can get at the pipe easily however Sad

From what I can find its either:

Fluid return pipe - steering gear to reservoir OR
High pressure feed pipe - pump to steering gear

Thanks for replying.

It won't matter which side it is, no amount of tape will contain the pressure! You might be able to put a jubilee clip around it as well but it will only be a very temporary bodge! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
171037Km as of 09/05/22
Superchips Bluefin Flash
Nanocom Evo II (also sold)
