I was talking to a mechanic the other day and he said that he rarely changes spark plugs these days for two reasons, one is that it's easy to damage the coils/connectors which are attached to the plugs so best left undisturbed. The other reason is that with modern engine management systems the mixture is probably spot on so that the plugs don't get burnt or covered in carbon and oil. The FL2 service sheet states 75k miles
On older cars I used to change them every 12k miles or 12 months and they often looked in good condition if you had got your mixture settings right (with your Gunson's Colortune?). Got me thinking that my wife's 56 reg Peugeot is on original plugs at 49k miles and I have never changed them. What do others do? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Most cars have platinum plugs now so they go for 80’000 miles or more with the same plug.

I changed mine when it was 120,000 kms
the spark plug was look good

SO you have 2 choice
1. Change this spark plug, it's easy DIY job, you need only 6 spark plug (if i6 model) and it's cheap part!
2. Leave it until it's failing (burn) - misfire, get ready with part and tools (DEEP socket 16mm)

I do 20' km's on my trusty Mitsubishi and 50k kms on the I6. it didn't look bad when I changed it but it felt more responsive after changing them maybe placebo but.
