Mostly duelled now but still long delays as you hit Black Rock from Gilwern up to Brynmawr with major works ongoing.

much nicer ride than M4 though.

The journey was interesting

Pulled into a mini supermarket at Penclawdd. got back in the car and it would't start. Battery Light was on. called the RAC who were too busy called the stud dog owner who lives about five minutes away He came out and we went to his place had the bitch mated, got the cart going with a jump start.

The M4 conditions moved from being a good road to a single lane in the space ot a quarter of an hour. A car in front went into a double spin. Thank God I alowed enough space between us. He managed to gain control as I passed him. A few Loony lorry drivers going far too fast in the snow covered lane 3.

Managed to get within two miles of home and got stuck in a drift. I had to walk home with the dog in a blizzard. Hope the car is still there.

As long as you and dog are safe that is really all that matters.

So far my part of Bedfordshire has been hardly touched - a few light dustings - and my daily drive down the A1 has been very calm (we do not use the Q word) with much less than normal traffic which has been especially apparent in the evening on the way home.
