Re the East Mids weather - my daughter (a nursing sister) in Lincoln today took 5 hours to get to work at LCH, having to abandon her little Pug 208 & walk, only to find she was stuck on an endless shift as there were no more staff to take over from her. All 4 uphill roads blocked! Useless highways, police. Hospitals can’t cope. Bleedin shambles! Trying to call military out!

I hope she has signed a contract for no responsibilities due to errors of over work as the UK is suing medical workers left right & centre. It is possibly legally safer for her own interest that she unfortunately has a accident on site & unfortunately cannot work. Tow truck returned but he left the keys for the stuck truck at the depot.

Looks like it will be a few days before I'm going anywhere, with a steep hill covered in more than a foot of snow between me and the road. (Prior experience shows that the limit on the hill for an FL2 on winter tyres is somewhere between 4" and 12".) There's now 5" on the car itself despite it being parked under cover!

Steel frame for the bifold doors probably helped. Proper box section girders. The presence of a bunch of guys and big forklift on farm demolishing some old grain drying plant definitely helped the speedy solution. The Council have put out request for 4x4 owners to volunteer to get nurses and other essential workers to there work as all the roads in the area are deep in snow, unfortunately mine has to stay garages till I get my licence back
