Limp mode after hard braking

Hi all,

Hoping for a bit of advice please - in the last week our FL2 has twice gone into limp mode after braking 'hard but not emergency stop hard' (quote from other half). It stays in limp mode until you restart then it all seems fine again.

I've read the codes and the error generated both times was "P0087-22 (A9) Fuel rail /system pressure - too low - general signal failure - signal amplitude>maximum" (and no it's not a historic code - the time the code was generated corresponds to the time it happened)

Live testing of the fuel pressure shows its between 25000kpa and 90000kpa depending on revs which seems about right.

I'll probably replace the fuel filter for good measure but a bit confused as to why it would throw that code after braking - something loose somewhere perhaps (even just a wire)?

Ideas appreciated please, I'm really not sure where to start!

Cheers

I'm not very technical but a hard reset may help it seems to work with other things on these cars and it takes a few minutes and one spanner.

Longshot !Loose connector into one of the ECU'S moving and breaking the connection/coms when you brake hard?
once had a car that would blow multiple fuses/circuits every time you braked hard,, main loom had slipped down and the top of the brake pedal was pinching it and earthing the loom out every time you braked

Ensure your battery is well locked in the cradle and connections there are tight. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
