Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver

I think the US list had Range Rovers on it for a while, but I can’t understand why it should be only a sub-set of JLR production. Surely they don’t use a different airbag manufacturer for different models?

The US has also taken an absolute humidity approach to their risk analysis and I guess that is why this hasn’t been such an issue in U.K. (but why it might be a big issue for Oz). 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

My understanding is that the suppliers have until 1 July 2018 to have a complete list of recalls.

'A supplier must establish and maintain a recall database on the supplier's website that allows consumers to enter a VIN into a search field and obtain immediate information about the Takata recall status of the vehicle. The recall database must be established and accessible to consumers by no later than 1 July 2018 or another date approved by the ACCC on application'

'A supplier's recall database page must make it clear that a vehicle not currently under active recall may later be recalled, that all planned future recalls are set out in the recall initiation schedule (noting the link provided), and that, while the supplier will seek to contact affected consumers directly at the relevant time, they may be unable to do so if the consumer's accurate contact details are not available to the supplier.' Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The ACCC list is all affected manufacturers of which JLR are not listed and that said final list will be released by April. MY15

Jaguar Land Rover joins Takata airbag recall
By Matt Campbell 9th Oct 2017

'Jaguar Land Rover has announced it will recall approximately 17,000 vehicles sold in Australia, as the British company joins the global epidemic that is the Takata airbag recall. To this point there have been more than 3.3 million cars affected by Takata recalls in Australia alone, and the potentially deadly faulty airbags have been responsible for the death of one driver in Australia, and 18 other deaths around the world...' Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
