Not so much conversation on here recently, are you all still in hibernation mode?
Not long until the traditional start of season Easter weekend, looking forward to it Smile

Eurotunnel booked for the middle of April, away for 11 weeks and that will be our first trip out this year, just the two of us and the dog.

This will be our 5th year abroad now, thanks to a couple of good guys on here that helped me out with all the info I needed for that first trip. This year we will be returning again to Slovenia but spending more time in France, before crossing northern Italy into Slovenia.
I waited until early retirement then it was all good to go for those extended trips, you will love it Smile

Brilliant enjoy!
I've a few years to go yet but that's the goal that I set my sights on. Are you taking a caravan or motor home? We have a caravan now but for an extended European tour I'd consider buying a motorhome and selling it afterwards. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Caravan, we stay 4/5 days in one place before moving on after exploring the area in the car, plus we love walking so more of a semi-active holiday. First site only is booked after the tunnel then because it is 'different' than here you can just turn up and stay outside of high season.
Last year we were in Slovenia and the night before leaving planning on Innsbruck but the weather there was poor, so we turned left and headed for the Italian Adriatic coast where the sun shone all week, it's the advantage of not booking ahead.
