Hold on to your butts, there’s an east wind coming!

I’ve been monitoring developments closely on this but now it’s getting into the more reliable time frame, I thought I’d post a topic. The well known and respected John Hammond says it all in the video below:

Great...the week that my FL2 is in the garage! Snow in a hired hatchback is so much fun Sad

However, their “below zero overnight” and “perhaps not getting above freezing during the day” is what we’ve consistently had here since mid-December, so unless their “foot of snow” materialises we may not notice! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Yes, we’ve just topped up on logs. Certainly getting my money’s worth out of the winter tyres I bought back in the autumn Thumbs Up

Might get to try my new steering rack and terrain response switch out. (on private land of course) If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

I think it’s already here! Had to use my motorbike today. I have all the cold-weather clothing plus heated grips. Still the coldest I can remember being on a bike for the last 10 years or more. Bloody freezing. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Time has come for me to confess.

I am Ian, and I am a steering wheel heater user.

I never thought that I would say this but I have become addicted to switching on the wheel on cold mornings.

I know that there are a few on this forum who will say it is because I am a southener. Sorry.

The only time that I have had a similar urge was back in begining of the 1960's when I paid an addional £18 to have a heater included in my new car. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)
