United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Ipanema Sand
service costs

Help please
my freelander is now 7 years old and has always been serviced by LR.
The current quote for the 7 year service is £385. That equates to 5% of he total value of the car.
Does any one know what I get for that money in addition to an oil and filter change?
Tried speaking to the dealer today to ask them but they cant find any one to speak to me as they are so busy

any help would be appreciated

Oil & filter change
Air filter change
Pollen filter change
Fuel filter change

Matford Land Rover are doing a deal on the service kit for £55 delivered to your door, get 6lts of oil £40 & get your local garage to do the service for you, keep it well clear of main stealers.

Another solution to the equation - You could always buy a more expensive FL2 and then the £385 would represent a lower fraction of the value of the car, thereby saving you money. Hope this helps Shocked Very Happy 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Give it a few years & the service will be more than the value of the car the way the public are turning away from diesel cars Whistle

Not sure if it's worth a look or not but..

Noticed your from south wales like myself, I've got a local specialist based not far from llantrisant called Promec to do my 7 year service next month, reasonable price too - £282 inc VAT.
OK it's still not cheap but it's not main dealer pricing...

I'd highly recommend them, they've done my throttle body, rear baring and sorted my ECU when it went nuts. Very honest guys and can't fault there work and knowledge.

(Oh, and it's all genuine LR parts too!)
