England 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Dynamic Manual Fuji White

I've been looking at LR dealers but for similar money the highest spec would be a GS model - nice enough but i know if i bought it it would be a let down as i'd be comparing it to a Dynamic and i'd regret that?

I'll see how the call goes tommorow and see how i go from there

Are these dealers who advertise that they will pay more for your car than we buy any car?

Seen some Nissan Juke Nismo GTRs for sale for £14700 - 17 plates with less than 3000 miles - might be better getting 1 of them Wink

Hideous car. I had an ordinary Juke (Joke?) as a courtesy car recently and it was not a patch on my FL2. Stiff jittery ride and only 2WD in the snowy conditions. Small inside as well. The dash and controls looked more like a teenagers xbox. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

As you can see from my history below I have had a few FL2s. The last 3 have been LR dealer supplied approved used. I must say that any problems have been fixed with no questions asked. This was the main reason I stuck with LR this time round. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

I would agree with the others. I have had 3 Freelander 2's and they have cost me a fortune. My current one I bought Aug last year for £15500 from LR. It is a dynamic with every extra. I have the 2 year warranty, MOT ins and assistance. So far under warranty I have had both front door locks replaced (had to do that at my expense on my previous 2), the reversing camera replaced, the rear brake light replaced and 2 engine sensors.
Well over £1000 bill not paid by me, so already it has been cheaper than buying a private one. Also each time they have loaned me a Jag F-Pace and valeted the car inside and out. They also discounted my service!

I know where I would be spending my £15k Thumbs Up

No connection to Inchcape Group, except I have bought 2 Discoveries and 1 Freelander from their dealerships over the years.

Going to pick the car up tommorow (monday) as long as everything is ok - will do a long test drive first
Dealer said he'd ordered a new "remote key" from a LR dealer and assumes it that meant a fob + blade? said they'd reimburse any expenses for programming/ blade cutting

When ordering a new blade from a LR dealers does this come pre cut to car?

My experience is based on the D4 not the FL2, but the fob/remote was ordered in the same way as any other part. However, the process for getting the blade is a bit more complex as LR do not keep a stock of pre-cut blades & it had to be cut to order. I didn't take much notice of what proof was needed by them to get the blade cut as they were selling me the car, but I would imagine that getting the blade requires some degree of security check/proof before it can be ordered - like having the V5, the car & proof of who you are so the dealer can be assured you are not simply getting a blade in order to steal a car?!

The ebay link i posted above shows a non LR dealer can program the fobs and cut the blades - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-FREE...1438.l2649 doesn't sound bad at £120 all in Thumbs Up

^^^

Thought the seller was providing you with a new genuine fob - why do you need to pay £120 for the non genuine one? Thought they were also going to reimburse you for the blade & pairing? so why not order one from LR & get them to pair to the car?
