Re:the original post the Freelie is certainly a little bit harder to jack up than an ordinary car, but nothing like as bad as a Disco 3 or 4 - That scared the bejazzuss out of me.
Incidentally never had a puncture as such - but had a couple of cut tyre walls from sharp slate, which the foam stuff would just fall out of so full size spare a necessity IMHO when in remoter parts.
PS in my boot there's a Desert Storm kelly kettle & pot noodles, you know, just in case you need a snack ... FL2 Ex D2, D3, RRS, etc. now all gone.

The most useful emergency item I have is a couple of rolls of toilet paper!

If the rolls are down sized you can squeeze them through the spokes. If the rolls are still too large it can be somewhat of a panic to get them back out through the spokes in critical situations! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
